Meet Lise
Welcome!
A lot of people ask me why I named my company Lottie’s Trinkets, I will explain.
Hi, I’m Lise-Lotte, but most people call me Lottie. It’s a family nickname that has stayed with me from my childhood in London to my home in Maple Grove, Minnesota. It’s more than just a name—it represents my creativity, passion, and love for handmade artistry, which is why it felt so natural to name my jewelry business Lottie’s Trinkets. Every piece I design is unique, crafted with care, and meant to be treasured.
I grew up in a creative family, surrounded by art, photography, and storytelling. Though my career started in finance—17 years in London’s global advertising industry—my heart always leaned toward design and craftsmanship. After relocating to the U.S. in 2001, I finally pursued that passion, launching Lottie’s Trinkets in 2005. Since then, I’ve weathered economic ups and downs, navigated a pandemic, and continued creating jewelry that speaks to individuality and self-expression.
I work with semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, and crystals, blending them with gold, silver, copper, and brass to create one-of-a-kind pieces. My designs aren’t just accessories—they’re small works of art that carry meaning and beauty for those who wear them.
Beyond jewelry, I live a busy, art-filled life. I serve as president and treasurer of the Maple Grove Arts Center, a local nonprofit supporting creativity in the community. I also sit on the boards of Experience Maple Grove, our city’s destination marketing organization, and the Maple Grove Business Association’s advisory board. When I’m not designing or volunteering, I indulge in my other artistic loves—watercolor painting, pastels, and writing. During the pandemic, I published my first collection of short stories, The Shorts, followed by Skirting the Issues, and I’m currently working on another collection and a full-length novel.
Through it all, I’m lucky to share this creative life with my husband, Andy, and our two cats. I hope this gives you a glimpse into my world and the inspiration behind Lottie’s Trinkets. I’d love for you to follow along—connect with me on Facebook for jewelry updates or visit my author page for my books.
